Jax – What a Clown!

bosco smilingWhen Jax showed up as a starved, flea and tick-ridden stray dog at one of our foster homes, no one would have guessed what a clown he is.  This 1 year old boy is full of personality.

Jax is a happy dog – and LOVES puppies.  He enjoyed being the care-taker for two fluffy little girls in his foster home.

Jax is a big boy – he weighs about 76 pounds.  He would love a home with a fenced yard and an active family to romp with.  Email warmhearts@earthlink.net for an application to adopt Jax.

Adopted! Kringle – Ten pounds of Snuggleness

Kringle - ready for love.

Kringle – ready for love.

How does such a good little guy end up at a kill shelter at Christmas?  We’ll never know the answer to that question, but Kringle has forgotten all about those early days and is enjoying life in his foster home.

What a cutie pie he is.  Our vet guesses that this adorable little guy is a chihuahua pomeranian mix.  We LOVE his fluffy tail and that little white cap he wears on his head.

He is house-trained and likes other dogs. He REALLY likes toys and treats. He is even good walking on a leash.
Kringle is not a fan of a crate and probably should not be crated.

He gets a little bit nervous around children, so an all-adult family would suit him best.
Loud noises also give him the heebie jeebies, so a quiet home would be perfect.

Kringle LOVES his toys.

Need a Running Partner? Stormy is Your Girl!

Stormy loves a walk.

Stormy loves a walk.

What  great dog Stormy Girl is.  Like to run?  She knows how to stay on pace with you.  Do you swim?  Stormy would rather swim than eat.  How about just a partner for a car ride?  Stormy is your girl.  She loads up like a dream and loves keeping you company.

Stormy is between 3 -4 years old and is house-trained, leash-trained and crate-trained.  She loves people and other dogs.  She is loyal and sweet.

Stormy was rescued in a field where she delivered her puppies, Puddles, Splash and Mudpie, on a stormy night.  All of her puppies found new homes and now it is Stormy’s turn.

Stormy is a great house companion.

Stormy is a great house companion.

She is a beautiful black and tan Australian Shepherd/Rottie mix (that’s our best guess).  She’s a medium sized dog (46 pounds) with a heart ready for love.

Adopted! Meet Mulligan. A pup who deserves a second shot.

rooster in bubble wrapIt was a bitterly cold night when Mulligan was left in a box at a local shelter – wrapped in bubble wrap.  He’s forgotten about those sad days and is now ready to hike with you and be a loving family companion.  Got toys?  That’s even better.  This boy loves a toy.  An active family with older children would suit him just fine.

Adopted! Bella the Beautiful

Bella's coat of many colors.

Bella’s coat of many colors.

Bella loves a soft pillow and a blanket….as well she should.  After being found hiding in a wet culvert as a tiny pup, she deserves nothing by the softest bed and the warmest blankets.

What a sweet puppy she is….a little bit shy at times, but eager to please.  What is her breed?  The BEST breed…the breed that will be a loyal and loving companion for years to come.

Bella loves other dogs and adores children.  She is a “watcher,” a characteristic we love in a puppy.  She’s a submissive play pal, but can handle a good game of tug-a-war with the big dogs.

She's ready for love.

She’s ready for love.

For more “Bella,” watch her video. This girl is ready to be the biggest fan of your life.

Adopted! Meet Sparky Brewster

Cutest face ever!

Cutest face ever!

Look at that face!  Too cute for words.

Sparky is the perfect name for this little 6 pound live-wire and cuddler.  He is ready for a forever home…and trust us, he will own you!  This little guy is a firecracker who will steal your heart and your home.

I love my toys.

I love my toys.

Sparky is a little guy with a huge personality.  Like all puppies, he will benefit from puppy classes and basic obedience training.  Because he is so small, and such a firecracker, we don’t recommend a home with small children.

If you’ve got the right stuff for a little Sparky Brewster,  email warmhearts@earthlink.net for an application to adopt.

ADOPTED! Meet Cha Cha Cha ….she’s a great listener!

If you're talking, I'm listening.

Cha is one of those one-in-a-million puppies that hangs onto your every word. She tilts her head back and forth to let you know she is paying attention.

Cha loves to run and play, but her favorite thing? Lap time!

Then she snuggles and cuddles and gives you her
blessing to rub every part of her….under the neck is best.

This beautiful 5 1/2 month old pup is a small girl. She only weighs about 14 pounds – perfect couch companion size. And her colors? Oh my, they are beautiful.

Cha is completely vetted and dreaming of a new home for Christmas.

Such a sweet face.sleepy cha cha

Adopted! Meet Taco – a spicy little beagle/doxie ready to play.

The many faces of Taco. All of the cute!

The many faces of Taco. All of them cute!

Hi! I’€™m Taco!

I wake up with a smile on my face every day since I have been out of the shelter and in my foster home. I am a 4 1/2 month old male with a lot of energy. But, once I am pooped out, it is all over, and I need my Z’€™s. And, I just discovered cushions – no more concrete floors for me!

My litter mates and I were dropped on a rural highway, covered in fleas and left to fend for ourselves. The Animal Control Shelter picked us up, and we spent a lot of time there until the Humane Society folks rescued us. I am being fostered with my two sisters, so I am trying to keep an eye on them; they don’€™t know the ropes like I do.

I love my chew toys, am a great runner, have learned my routines easily, and can find food wherever it is hidden … and, I don’€™t like to share it! I get along well with all dogs, big and small. I am doing pretty well on the leash; I don’€™t entirely understand the concept, but I find the less I struggle, the faster we get somewhere. Tennis balls are my new favorite toys.

Doc says I will be about 20-23 pounds and am probably a beagle mix. My foster mom says I am all boy until the camera is turned on. Then, I turn into a glamor-puss. My foster dad thinks my markings are just about perfect, and I love snuggling in his lap.

I love to have tummy rubs and ear noogies.

Want to see a little more of me? Watch my video.

Taco. You could be so happy together.

If you fall in love, email warmhearts@earthlink.net for an application to adopt me.
